I have been involved in Oneida City government for 22 years; 18 years serving the 4th Ward as councilman, with 12 of these years serving the City as Deputy Mayor; then 4 more years as the City's Mayor.

- Retired teacher for the Oneida City School District - a job I loved for 31 years.
- Course work in school administration from SUNY Cortland
- Master's Degree from the University of Southern California, Master's in Education
- St Bernard's Seminary, A.B. in Philosophy - worked in the inner city of Rochester. Helped attain a federal grant leading to the building of the St Martin De Porres Community Center for neighborhood improvement efforts. Summers, worked on building a teen center on the north side of Syracuse to help curb teen violence.

- Member, Oneida Knights of Columbus
- Member, American Legion Post 169 - Post committee member representing Boy Scout Troop 23 and Pack 23.
- Member, Madison County Historical Society, Board Member
- Madison County Children's Camp, Executive Director, worked for the Camp serving our county's children and families since 1975.
- Assistant to the Superintendent, Central Square School System - various project work for the school system's superintendent.
- U.S. Army, medic - from 1969 to 1971 - served with the 7th Army Hospital in Landstuhl, Germany serving soldiers who were flown in to the Ramstein Air Base because they were so severely wounded that they could not make it all the way back home to the United States.
- Volunteer in Service to America, in 1968 was the first VISTA volunteer to South Carolina - was very active in the social movement of the '60's.
