The City of Oneida is an excellent place to make a life.  We're a unique community with tree lined streets, sprawling parks and play grounds, places to shop and affordable housing.  We offer an excellent school system, skilled health care facility and a high quality work force with an excellent work ethic.  Within 30 miles of our City there are many things to do and places to go; from ski centers, antique shops, Utica and Syracuse theaters, Turning Stone casino, numerous golf courses, Adirondack Mountains, colleges, State Parks, Oneida Lake and great fishing.  But this City of Oneida, " A Little of America at its Best", needs to be protected.

This fall's election is about changing the direction the present Mayor and administration has taken the City the last two years.  Two years ago, we had only two empty store fronts downtown, count them now.  We used to clean the downtown City sidewalks from the winter residue; now we don't  get rid of the snow in the winter nor the weeds growing in the sidewalks during the summer..  Instead we fight the downtown merchants and tell them it's their job. The present mayor brags about public safety, yet won't hire a crossing guard to make sure the children are safe crossing the main road into Oneida as the they go to our City pool and main park.

If elected, I will support all initiatives to revitalize downtown.  We will support the City wide big and small businesses we now have so that they can flourish despite present economic conditions.  We will take this beautiful City of ours and market it so that new businesses will want to locate here creating new jobs.  I am committed to smart responsible government, government that supports public initiatives rather then put obstacles in everyone's way.  It's time to get back on track and work together to make a better tomorrow.
